About

Vita Velo is Nick Vita. He grew up in Maryland riding the rolling farm roads and root-filled woods near his home and racing his four younger siblings around the neighborhood on two wheels (and foot, and rollerblades, and on anything else that moved). After spending his early twenties racing bikes domestically and internationally, he moved to Boulder and has been lucky to call it home and explore its trails and roads on two wheels for over ten years. For those ten years, he has coached elementary school kids in after school programs with Singletrack Mountain Bike Adventures, and while he continues to do so, he is excited to start his own coaching for smaller groups.

Vita Velo specializes in custom coaching for riders of all ages and skill levels in the Boulder area. With the necessary skills and knowledge of local trails and routes, he strives to make each rider feel supported, safe, and wowed by everything the Boulder area has to offer to those on two wheels. Riding bikes should be fun, and he knows that riding bikes as a kid brought him so much freedom and joy that he absolutely loves sharing with people that are just getting into their cycling adventures.

Enjoying bikes for a lifetime begins with learning how to be comfortable on your bike no matter what the riding environment. As experience and skills improve, riders have more fun, build confidence, and start on a path to be able to spend their time on two wheels finding new adventures , challenges, and fun.

Meeting riders where they are and then motivating them to ride without fear takes a lot of attention, care, empathy, and energy. That level of detail and growth and pure fun on two wheels is what makes Nick excited to ride and share that excitment with others!
